Unity

Aristides, a second-century apologist for the christian faith wrote to the Roman EmperorHadrian about believers in his day:

"They love one another. They never fail to help widows; they save orphans from those who would hurt them.If they have something, they give freely to the man who has nothing; if they see a stranger, they take him home, and are happy, as though he were a real brother. They dont consider themselves brothers in the usual sense, but brothers instead thru the Spirit, in God."

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:2-3

Wow! Very good quote, thanks for posting it!
To think that christians have been and indeed will once again be known for these things, and not for fighting with each other, putting judgement on those whom God would extend (and has extended) a helping hand of mercy... It's only through Jesus that we can live the way believers are meant to...

Good post!

Thanks for both of yas comments! :) Yes, I thought it was good too.. fished it from my daily Bible reading booklet, Our Daily Bread.

I really do wish that we could all be one like Jesus is One with the Father.

For what house stands if it quarrels with itself..
