New Orleans - please PRAY!
What if the armies of the Lord
Picked up and dusted off their swords
Vowed to set the captives free
And not let satan have one more
What if the church, for heaven's sake
Finally stepped up to the plate
Took a stand upon God's promise
And stormed hell's rusty gates
What if His people prayed
And all who bare His name
Would humbly seek His face
And Turn from their own way
And what would happen if we prayed
For those raised up to lead the way
Then maybe kids in school could pray
And unborn children see light of day
What if the life that we pursue
Came from a hunger for the truth
What if the family turned to Jesus
Stopped asking Oprah what to do
He said that they would hear
His promise has been made
He'll answer loud and clear
If only we would pray
If My people called by My name
If they'll humble themselves and pray
If My people called by My name
If they'll humble themselves and pray
Lyrics by Mark Hall Music by Casting Crowns
Everything is possible to God!!
Lord, thank you that you are with these people and help them!!
on communication and relationships
Quite funny, I think it was on the day that I re-activated this blog and wrote about Learning to communicate.. and the newspaper of the day wrote about the same thing! It was about a married couple and how to keep the relationship good.. I think the title was "Opening the dead ends of your relationships" Here's the link , it's in Finnish though. Some good advice on that article, on how to take care of your relationship:
Be open.
Have courage to bring up difficult things.
Learn to communicate (to express your emotions without blaming the other person).
Argue constructively, so that your aim is to find solutions to your problems.
Listen to your spouse.
Forgive.
Take time to evaluate problems in your relationship at least couple of times a year.
IT also claimed that"Arguing is not a bad thing" while avoiding to deal with issues and talk about them is. and "Don't give up".

About Love
"Being understood is one of our deepest needs. We don't really need to know that we are "right," as much as we need to know that someone understands how we feel and what our "reality" is.
Love can only exist where there is freedom.
Our attempts to control what another person thinks, feels, wants, does, values, believes, etc. are destined to drive them away, and ultimately destroy love. Love only exists as we see another person in their own right as a separate individual, who as Jesus said is free to do what they want to with what is their own. (see Matt. 20:15) When someone says "no," we are to respect it. When they have choices and wishes that are different from ours, we are to respect them as well. Real love can only grow where someone's "real self" can be known and accepted by the other person. If there are demands for perfection and the "ideal person," then love is blocked. Adults who are in significant relationships are meant to be equals and share the reality of who they are in a spirit of mutuality.
Some people, however, want not to be equals, but one-up on the other person. They want to be in more of a parent-child type of connection where they are in charge. They have expectations for the other to be in subjection to them in some strange way, and are dominating in their style.
This type of "I know better" stance blocks love in a horrible way, as the person who is "under" feels belittled, controlled, dominated and disrespected. In the best scenario's, the so-called "benevolent dictator," the one on the bottom rung fails to grow up and develop into who they were meant to be.Typical of this type of stance are a lot of "you should's," that dominate the person's thinking, as they freely tell the other person how to think, live, be and what to do. The biggest problems to love in this type of connection come from the resentment in the one-down person, and their drive to become independent from the dominating one.
As Jesus said, we are to all be equals and put no one on a parental pedestal. (Matt. 23:8)

Micah 6:8
"He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To ACT JUSTLY and to LOVE MERCY
and to walk humbly with your God."
And what does the LORD require of you?
To ACT JUSTLY and to LOVE MERCY
and to walk humbly with your God."

More than Anything
i am listening to a great cd..my friends were in this conference. I love especially the second song.
You mean more to me than anything.
You are all i'll have forever. There's no one like You.
You made the Heavens. You alone put joy into this heart.
In You I place all of my trust.
Psalm 15
Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary?
Who may live up on your Holy hill?
and in English..
"He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from his heart
and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong
and casts no slur on his fellowman,
who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD.
who keeps his oath even when it hurts,
who lends his money without usury
and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things will never be shaken."

A Place in this World
We all have A Place to Be
and a purpose
Each one of us
We Belong
God created us here for a purpose
Each one of us is unique
He has a mission and a purpose ..for me
He will make something beautiful of my life
if i let Him
I need to let Him be My Lord
Let Him reign
Let Him be the Lord of my life
Be submitted to Him
Trusting God He takes care of me and leads me and guides me
He has a place for all of us
this is my place,
right now in my life.
Lately I have been so happy I am living in this city, in this place.
Today my sis came round, we were in town for a bit and made some dinner and then i cycled her home. While doing that I realised the route took thru fields and forest - wow! in a city i mean hey ho!!! i love that! so every time i go home to visit mum and her i get to go thru basically countryside!!!! Hallelujah :) Thank you Lord. Help me see even clearer where I am to be and what to do. Love you Carolina little angel ! :-)

Learning to communicate
This is fun!!!!
it's so much FUN to be doing this ! Blogging that is. I have felt a calling for this for quite some time already...hehe... though i haven't really gotten round to sharing anything yet even though i started this already back in june! it's great to part of the blogging community. Especially since I think communication is a key thing..so important..eh don't know why it sometimes seems such a hard thing to do in real life though..but all that matters is a heart attitude, right? and then one can just let God do the finishing work... Learning to communicate...it's a life missión really, isn't it!
How i got into blogging actually was thru encountering johan forsbäck's blog and somehow after that it all opened up and ran into more blogs and realised there's this whole weblogging blogging thing existing!
Welcome anyone, who's reading this. :)
