Word


forlorn \fur-LORN; for-\, adjective:

1. Sad and lonely because deserted, abandoned, or lost.
2. Bereft; forsaken.
3. Wretched or pitiful in appearance or condition.
4. Almost hopeless; desperate.

I like words. I found this a few days ago.. I think in the sadness of it there is beauty. And it describes well what it means. Poetic.

It is a sad word... and those upon who the word rests, I know that God's attention is on them. There are no god-forsaken people.

Yes it's a beautiful word - especially through the link where one can see how and where it's been used - some more serious meanings, some less. you're piece of work looked interesting. Nice what you had written there.. And you are right, like Bono said of the poor: "But I know that if we are with them, God is with us"

Certainly even if we feel forlorn, which is the human state sometimes, God is with us at all times.

No one's lost for Him.
