new song cafe

Here's Tim Hughes hosting New Song Cafe in www.worshiptogether.com with Martin Smith and Stu G of Delirious performing "Now is the time" - Awesome singing! (- the harmony!!!)

But hurry up as they always change/release a new song every two weeks. I think you might have to register/log in first though, but I recommend as it's a really good website! So just click on my link above and then click on "New Song Cafe".

Also recommend this..Vicky Beeching!! Love her songs "Yesterday Today and Forever" and "You are Stronger than the Storm". She's one of my new fave worship leaders.

" I want to follow but what does it mean,
To live in this world and keep everything clean.
I lay down my rights; see the world through your eyes,
And fight for the hungry who pay for our lives,
I want to have you in all of my world.
So Jesus consume me,
flow through me,
cos now is the time..."

A Song for the New Year

Lupasit Herra
Olla Kanssani
Minne voin mennä
Sinun luotasi
Kuljen tai lepään
Olet Vierelläin
En voi paeta Sun Rakkauttasi

Jos Lähtisin
Pois Luotasi
Ja Muuttaisin merten taa
Niin Sielläkin
Sä Olisit
ja Johdat minut takaisin
Kaiken Sä tiedät
Tunnet Lapsesi
Kätesi lasket minun ylleni
Kulkuni Ohjaat
Olet Vierelläin
En voi paeta Sun Rakkauttasi

(Btw not my song..)

Happy New Year!

We have a again a computer (laptop even) in the house.. So here I am - BACK! Though am working in 9 hours time, so have to make it a G'Day even before I got in the door.. Just wanted to let you all know I'm still ALIVE and breathing and to wish you all a happy new year! As we are all here may I just pull your attention towards the bottom left hand corner and the banner that says "BraveNet Guestmap"... it's one for YOU.. Guest notes are welcomed..from YOU..might Isay it again...from You, yes, You! lol lol...bear with me people ! :)

Speaking of the guestmap, David from England - is that David Elsey or Richards? (I only know 2 Daves!) Hi Back!!!

And Scot, Thanks for visiting..I know Elim Chapel, it's true it's very near Battlefield Rest! Is Simon still your pastor? I met him at one event some 3 years ago. Ohh and Andy and his wife as well, who spoke Finnish (I'm Finnish). He was doing youth work? I think at the time. Some people at your church might also know Jaakko Soiva.. who's a friend and goes to the same church as me.. Think he was there with some TACF related thing for a visit. Alyn Jones also mentioned it's a great church. I was meant to come while I was living over there, but never made it. Will correct that mistake first thing next time Im over!!!

Okey do babes, Have babbled too much already. Be so very very Blessed this year everyone...May God lead you and guide you in all you do! CaN'T run away from His Love...He really loves us so.

Much Love, Mimsmi xx

New Month, New Things

"Good Tidings we bring..to you and your King..
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year"

So it's December! Wow! How did we end up here? But here we are! Sanna is moving out today to her own flat, which means that the computer goes too. So might be less blogging this month folks! I think maybe God wants to save me from becoming totally blog-a-ddicted and have some time actually to prepare for Christmas too. It's really beautiful here these days! We got winter properly today! Sooooooo beautiful. Looks white outside. I hope this snow stays and we'd get to go skiing and skating already in December! But yeah, I have enjoyed today. Thank you God for snow!!! It is sooooo beautiful! I'll try and take a photo sometime during this winter to show what it looks like out of my window.

We were at Reija-Riitta's last weekend and she made a good point about Christmas being more about the waiting and the preparing rather than the actual day. Have to say, I feel much more part of a celebration if I have been part of doing it, making it happen.. Rather than just sitting down to a ready-made table. Reija works at a kindergarden and they have been singing christimas carols for a month and talking about christmas, preparing the kids for things to come.. So, because of all the talk the kids are really excited come Christmas and looking forward to it! Hmm, might that be why God speaks to us about things to come. He prepares us.
He lets us know where things are heading, where we are going.. So we won't be shocked. Lately I have been having lots of experiences of God just telling me what is to come. I just kind of "know" what will happen, I cannot explain it, I just know. A thought just pops into my head concerning something that I didn't think myself, but just literally popped into my head before I had time to "think" even.

In John 14 Jesus says

1"Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God[a]; trust also in me.
2In my Father's house are many rooms;
if it were not so, I would have told you.
I am going there to prepare a place for you.
3And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with me
that you also may be where I am.
4You know the way to the place where I am going."

Another good quote

"Never explain yourself.
Your friends don’t need it
and your enemies won’t believe it."
( ~Belgicia Howell)

It's Snowing!

Yey! It was snowing today! Not very much.. but at least, some! Here's hoping for winter! And some blue sky too, merci beaucoup!

who knows
the song in your heart
and can sing it
back to you
when you have
forgotten the words."

One of my all time favorite quotes that one. GOD IS GOOD folks! :-)

Friendship

"Älä kulje perässäni,
en ehkä pysty
näyttämään suuntaa.
Älä kulje edelläni,
en ehkä pysty
seuraamaan.

This week

God has been just filling my week. Awesome. I'm tired but happy!

I've ended up actually not having a week off, but I've been spending some of it with little darlings that I love to be with..Teo, Anna and Elina. Now tell me, can a day start better than a 3-year old saying to you three times at about 7am "Mimoooooosa, sÄ OOT ihana!". (You should hear him say that, it's pretty special!) Maybe I'll put up a photo follow later on of these darling buds!

Back to a Familiar place

I seem to have a lot of things to say these days. Well, Barry Adams did pray for freedom of expression to me on saturday.. so Here we go! :) I could've actually titled this post as "Surprises Continued" or " A day in the life". The surprises have just kept coming. Thank you Daddy! I love surprises! He really speaks my language. Well, this surprise had a hilarious edge to it actually.

So here's what happened to me yesterday. We had the leadership school (the cell-leaders training I am on), as usual on tuesdays. When I got to Mauno's and Anna-Liisa's place, I was like "hey! why are you all outside? Something special on?!" And turns out we were going to travel the lovely ride of 25 km south to Orimattila to meet at Jorma's and Anita's place (who, btw, practically live in the middle of woods!) instead of theirs. I had totally forgotten! Or to be more exact: I had no clue we had agreed to do this! Luckily I had managed to arrange to go on somebody's lift though. I was trying my best, and usually I have a really good memory, but just couldn't recollect any of it! I do remember us talking about it, but I thought we would do it sometime later. There was no "ahh ohh yes NOW I remember!" Nope, not there! And because I usually express my thoughts and wonderings out loud when I find something to be hilarious, it lead to Mauno wondering whether I actually listen the teaching in the school! (I do!) But I even remember leaving on the same door opening as Jorma and Anita, and what normally would happen is that somebody would say "See you next time at your place then!" Well anyways, there was really no harm done, I just simply thought this was rather hilarious and funny!

And why it was a nice surprise, is BECAUSE Orimattila is where I'm from. My hometown where I grew up in. Nice 20 years spent there! A bit of my heart still beats there, I guess. It was nice to be back. I don't go that often...even if it is really not that far. But yeah, it was a great place to grow up in! Lots of room for dreams. God really knows where He places us. Now, if you had asked me 5 years ago I was just dying to get out of there, but a few years abroad gives one nice perspective! (not that I'd necessarily move back or anything..maybe this is close enough!)
